B5 is a building block important to three pathways: brain stuff and blood stuff and hormone production.
It's a building block for cholesterol which is the basis for various hormones AND probably an insulator in the brain. The brain is the highest cholesterol organ in the body and it builds 95 percent of cholesterol in house starting with B5.
Most likely, lack of cholesterol in the brain is similar to electrical wiring being stripped of insulating rubbery coating and causes seizures.
It's probably NOT hormones per se CAUSING seizures. It's probably a kind of bottleneck in the system where you aren't getting enough B5 and enough cholesterol for competing needs.
The body has an order of priority and will do stuff required to not die immediately over nice to haves like not seizing.
But unless you have a genetic disorder, THIS "bottleneck" is potentially readily resolved by eating more B5 and probably cholesterol too.
